A tiny AI buddy that lives next to your cursor. Hold a hotkey, ask anything about what's on your screen, and it answers, captions the answer, and flies straight to the button you need.
For everyone who's ever hunted for a button
How it works
Hold Ctrl Alt Space anywhere and ask like you'd ask a friend sitting next to you.
Flitty looks at your screen and starts answering out loud, with every sentence captioned next to the cursor.
A little blue cursor flies to the exact control. On Windows it reads the real button positions, so it lands right on them.
Private by design
Flitty has no servers and no accounts. It talks to OpenAI directly with your own key, and only when you ask.
It records while you hold the keys and takes one screenshot when you let go. Never in the background.
Your question, the screenshot and the names of the on-screen buttons go from your PC to OpenAI with your API key. You pay OpenAI directly, usually a fraction of a cent.
Recordings and screenshots are never written to disk. Your key stays in Windows Credential Manager.
Every line is on GitHub under the MIT license. Read exactly what it does, or build your own.
A note from the maker
Software keeps getting more powerful and harder to find your way around. The answer is usually one button away. You just can't see it.
Flitty is the friend who leans over and says "it's right there." Free, open, and yours to change.
FAQ
Flitty is free and open source. It uses your own OpenAI API key, so you pay OpenAI directly for what you use, usually a fraction of a cent per question.
No. It records only while you hold the hotkey and takes a screenshot only when you let go. Nothing is saved, and there's no Flitty server.
Anything on your screen. On Windows it also reads the names and positions of buttons and menus, so pointing is exact in most apps.
Yes, from source for now. Windows is the focus; a signed Mac download is coming.
The installer isn't code-signed yet. Click More info, then Run anyway. You can read the source and build it yourself.
Create one at platform.openai.com/api-keys, paste it into Flitty's settings (click the tray icon) and press Test key.
